SUSAN B. WALLACE

Susan Wallace has over thirty years of diverse experience in nonprofit management both from the owner side and as a consultant in areas of finance, operations, facilities, real estate and capital projects.

Early in her career as a business officer of an independent K-12 school in New York City, Susan managed finance, facilities and capital projects through a time of intense school growth over eighteen years. Through this, she obtained a clear understanding of how rapid growth impacts everything about an operation and its staff, and the critical need to anticipate and plan for transition, particularly around opening new buildings.

Susan then moved into consulting to institutions, initially on her own and then with two premier real estate service firms, Jonathan Rose Companies and Zubatkin Owner Representation, where she progressed to the level of Principal.

As an owner’s representative, Susan has successfully guided organizations through real estate strategies and all aspects of capital projects from site selection to planning and implementing new facilities. Her clients have included cultural and performing arts, K-12 (public, independent and charter), higher education, social service organizations and more. Susan’s deep network brings added value to her clients through her access and past experience with many prominent design, construction and related professionals. In particular, over her career, Susan’s financial models have helped to secure multiple types of financing and funding for organizations and have proven to be a reliable source of project financial understanding.

With SBW Advisory Services, Susan will continue to leverage her knowledge and experience in support of the nonprofit community.
